Fitch and DBRS issue updated credit ratings for OHLA and Santander Totta

Fitch Ratings has confirmed the long-term issuer rating for OHLA and its subsidiary, OHL Operaciones, at B- with a stable outlook. The agency highlighted the Spanish construction company’s strong business profile, noting its significant market position and high degree of diversification. OHLA is recognized among the top 50 international engineering and construction contractors, maintaining a solid presence in the roads and railways sectors. Approximately two-thirds of the company’s revenue is generated outside of Spain, primarily in the United States and Latin America.

In a separate development, DBRS Morningstar has upgraded the outlook for Banco Santander Totta to positive and confirmed its long-term rating at ‘A’. This decision follows a similar outlook revision by its parent company, Banco Santander. The agency assigned Santander Totta an SA1 support assessment, indicating strong and predictable support from the parent group. Santander Totta remains a central component of Santander’s international strategy and is the third-largest bank in Portugal, holding approximately 60 billion euros in assets as of late June.
