FITec Labs develops AI system to identify stolen vehicles

FITec Labs, in partnership with K9 Segurança, has developed the Vehicle Authentication System (SAVE), a technology designed to identify stolen, looted, or cloned vehicles in real time. Supported by EMBRAPII and SEBRAE, the system utilizes artificial intelligence, computer vision, geolocation, and security cameras to monitor license plates.

A key feature of the system is its collaborative network architecture. Users, referred to as ‘Savers,’ contribute to the data pool through applications or connected security equipment. Notably, the system plans to include delivery riders (motoboys) in the monitoring network; using mobile phones equipped with plate-reading technology, these workers act as mobile data collection points during their daily urban movements.

José Luis De Souza, CEO of FITec Labs, stated that the technology aims to accelerate the identification of suspicious vehicles and support investigations. The solution is also expected to have future applications in urban mobility and data analysis. The technology will be presented to the public at Campinas Innovation Week 2026, held from September 14 to 18 at the Pátio Ferroviário in Campinas.
