Fitness industry expansion and modernization in Germany

The fitness industry in Germany is seeing both expansion and modernization. The fitness chain aGYM has secured its first location in North Rhine-Westphalia, leasing approximately 2,600 square meters in a corner building on Huyssenallee in Essen. The new studio is scheduled to open in early 2027, targeting high visibility and foot traffic near the Essen main station.

In Aachen, the WOF 1 studio has completed a major renovation and reopened its doors. The facility, which covers a total area of 4,000 square meters, added 300 square meters of new training space. The upgrades include an expanded eGym area, a new HYROX area for functional training, and a renovated cardio park. The modernization also extended to infrastructure, including updated course rooms, enlarged locker rooms, a wellness area, and an expanded bistro.
