Fitness influencer Wendy Durán arrested in Cali, Colombia

Fitness influencer Wendy Jeanette Durán Bocanegra was arrested in Cali, Colombia, after authorities discovered an arsenal of weapons and narcotics during a civil seizure procedure at her residence.

The incident occurred during an attempt to enforce an embargo related to unpaid rent at her home in the Pance sector. While inspecting the property, officials found a Colt 5.56mm rifle, two Glock 9mm pistols, 977 cartridges, a 35-round magazine, two holographic sights, and a laser light device. Additionally, police seized $4,844 in cash, a money-counting machine, precision scales, laptops, and unspecified quantities of narcotics.

Durán, a New York-born content creator active on social media since 2017, admitted she did not possess the necessary permits for the weaponry. She has been charged by prosecutors with the manufacture, trafficking, and possession of firearms and ammunition. Although she did not accept the charges, a judge has ordered her to remain in pretrial detention.
