Fitness initiatives launch in Germany and Austria to promote physical activity
Fitness initiatives are being launched in Germany and Austria to combat physical inactivity. The “United let-s move” campaign will run from September 23 to September 30, 2026, allowing non-members to access participating fitness studios, including selected EASYFITNESS locations, free of charge and without commitment.
The initiative aims to lower barriers to entry for exercise, addressing data from the Robert Koch-Institut indicating that approximately 40 percent of adults in Germany do not meet World Health Organization physical activity recommendations.
In Heidelberg, the “Sport im Park” program, a collaboration between the city and local sports clubs, is also hosting special events. To mark the tenth anniversary of the “alla hopp!” facility, two functional fitness courses will be held on October 13, 2026, featuring full-body training and high-intensity workouts led by Markus Wellenreuther.
