Fitness Workouts Target Flabby Arms for Women Over 50
Flabby upper arms, referred to in German as “Winkearme,” become more noticeable as skin elasticity declines after the age of 30, especially for women over 50. Health experts explain that targeted strength training can tighten the skin and build the underlying triceps muscle, improving arm definition without surgery.
Two recent guides propose short, equipment‑light routines. One outlines three core triceps exercises – overhead triceps press, single‑arm triceps extensions, and a controlled dip movement – performed with dumbbells or water bottles. Another offers a five‑minute circuit of five exercises, including a cactus‑lift, double shoulder press, alternating L‑lift, standard shoulder press, and a final arm‑raising move. Each exercise is done for about 50 seconds with brief rests, using 2‑4 kg dumbbells. The programs are designed for quick daily sessions and aim to firm the upper arm for women in the 50+ age group.
