Fito Páez performs special classical-style concert in Madrid

Argentine musician Fito Páez performed a special concert titled ‘Clásico’ at the Teatro Real in Madrid. The event featured a two-and-a-half-hour set accompanied by a string nonet directed by Víctor Elías, offering a reimagined version of his hits and a tribute to the broader Latin American musical tradition.

The performance included visual projections by Max Rompo and incorporated works from influential artists such as Charly García, Luis Alberto Spinetta, and Víctor Jara. Páez’s repertoire spanned iconic songs including ‘Mariposa tecknicolor’ and ‘Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón.’

This concert serves as a brief intermission in his ‘Sale el sol’ international tour, which is scheduled to resume in Paraguay on September 27. Following the Madrid show, Páez is set to perform a similar piano-only concert at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.
