FitVYBE startup launches sports-based social ecosystem in France

FitVYBE, a startup based in Nantes, France, is launching a new ecosystem designed to foster authentic social connections through shared physical activity. Founded in April 2026 by entrepreneurs Sonia Silvente and Sonia Alaya, the company aims to move away from the superficiality often associated with traditional dating app swiping.

The company’s model focuses on the convergence of fitness and social interaction. To promote this philosophy, FitVYBE is organizing a major sporting event on September 19, 2026, in Treillières. Inspired by Hyrox-style competitions, the event will combine running with functional exercises. Participants can use a discreet bracelet as a signal to indicate they are open to meeting new people, facilitating natural interactions during the activities.

This initiative follows previous successful community events, including a ‘FitVYBE DJ Run’ in Nantes and a multi-sport rally held in early August. FitVYBE describes itself as the first French ecosystem dedicated to athletes seeking to connect with a community that shares their lifestyle.
