Fitwalking for AIL charity walks return to Italian cities
The tenth edition of Fitwalking for AIL, a non-competitive solidarity walk organized by the Italian Association Against Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma (AIL), will take place on Sunday, October 4. The event involves 40 Italian cities and aims to raise funds for research and assistance for patients with blood cancers and their families.
In Salerno, the event will begin at 9:00 AM from Piazza della Libertà, following a 4-kilometer route through the historic center and along the seafront. Salerno, alongside Turin, has been designated as a “sponsor village” for this edition. The event will also feature a “virtuous check-up” service for health screenings.
In Reggio Calabria, the walk will start at 9:00 AM at the AIL Village in viale Genoese Zerbi. The program includes a warm-up session led by qualified instructors before the group follows a loop through the Falcomatà seafront and the Urban Park. Participants receive a kit including a t-shirt and bag, with an emphasis on a plastic-free approach.
