Five babies born within seven hours at Santissima Trinità Hospital in Sora, Italy

On 14 July 2024, the Santissima Trinità Hospital in Sora, province of Frosinone, recorded five births in just seven hours. The first delivery began at 08:45 and the last at 16:15, with three babies delivered by cesarean section and two vaginally. The newborns – Giacomo, Jacopo, Anna, Flavio and Giulia – are all in good health.

The deliveries were managed by a multidisciplinary team that included obstetricians Dr Donfrancesco, Dr Malerba, Dr De Blasio and Dr Agostini, assisted by obstetric nurses Lucarelli and Di Rezze. Maria Giovanna Colella, the health director of the ASL of Frosinone, highlighted the staff’s professionalism, organization and sensitivity, thanking the obstetric, gynecological, nursing and neonatal personnel. The hospital announced an Open Day on 25 July for prospective parents.
