Five climbers rescued from Milenci rock formation

Five climbers were rescued during a nighttime operation in the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks after becoming stranded on the Milenci rock formation. The group, consisting of three women and two men, began their ascent late in the afternoon, which led to them being caught on the rock overnight.

By the time they called emergency services at approximately 2:41 AM, the climbers were exhausted, wet, and cold. One individual was found hanging from a rope, unable to complete a descent due to fatigue, while the other four were stuck several dozen meters above the ground near the summit.

Specialized firefighters from Broumov and Velké Poříčí, supported by volunteer units from Teplice nad Metují and Adršpach, conducted the rescue. A firefighter-climber ascended the rope to assist the stranded individuals one by one. Following the rescue, the group was evaluated by medical services; they were found to be in stable condition and did not require hospitalization.
