Five detained in investigation of Dr. Ozlem Gultekin Celik's death

Five individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the death of Dr. Ozlem Gultekin Celik. The investigation, coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling and Narcotics Crimes Investigation Bureau, follows the death of the doctor, who was the spouse of news anchor Erhan Celik.

An autopsy determined that Celik died due to high-dose propofol induction. Following investigations into mobile phone data and witness statements, authorities identified suspects believed to have supplied the substances that caused her death. The suspects, identified by initials Ç. K, F. A, H. Ç, H. Y, and P. Ç, were detained by the Izmir Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Department.
