Five injured in head-on collision on Highway 57

A head-on collision involving two vehicles occurred on Monday morning on Federal Highway 57, specifically on the Saltillo-Monclova stretch near the Plan de Guadalupe ejido. The accident resulted in five people being injured.

The first vehicle, a Ford Escape carrying a couple from Monterrey, and a second vehicle, a Mazda carrying three men traveling from Monclova toward Nuevo León, collided. Emergency responders classified two occupants of the Mazda with yellow code injuries and three individuals with green code injuries. None of the injured required immediate hospital transfer from the scene, as they intended to seek medical attention in Monclova.

Authorities have initiated investigations and expert assessments to determine the cause of the collision.
