Five people were injured on Friday night after a vehicle veered off the Miches-El Seibo highway near kilometer 6. According to the General Directorate of Transit and Land Transportation (Digesett), a brown Suzuki Vitara left the roadway and fell into a deep mountain ravine at approximately 7:50 p.m.

The injured individuals have been identified as Jorge López Pérez (77), Cándido Matos (60), María Isabel Medina (61), Wendy Ramírez (50), and Francisca Medina (74). Emergency responders from the National Emergency and Security System 9-1-1 provided assistance at the scene, and all victims were transported to the Miches Municipal Hospital for treatment.
