Five professionals indicted over Villa Gesell hotel collapse

On the night of 29 October 2024, the ten‑storey Apart Hotel Dubrovnik in Villa Gesell, Argentina, collapsed, killing nine people.

Prosecutors on Friday formally charged five new individuals—surveyor Roberto Rossi, architect Sergio Selinsky, architect Nicolás Vergani, master builder Nicolás Valdez, and engineer Jorge Guerbi—with aggravated culpable homicide. Their indictment raises the total number of accused in the case to more than 15. The investigation also ordered an expanded forensic examination to be carried out by the Federal Police’s Division of Accident Investigation on 4 August at the technical department of the Buenos Aires Fire Department.
