Five-vehicle collision occurs in San Fedele Tunnel

A five-vehicle pileup occurred on Friday morning in the San Fedele Tunnel on the A13 motorway in Switzerland. The accident, which took place around 11:00 AM in the direction of Ticino, was triggered when a 57-year-old motorhome driver failed to notice the end of a traffic jam in time.

The impact caused a chain reaction involving multiple cars, and a motorcyclist subsequently collided with the motorhome's trailer. A young girl involved in the accident was taken to a hospital in Bellinzona for medical evaluation.

Traffic on the A13 was diverted to a cantonal road for approximately one and a half hours. The Graubünden Cantonal Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
