FK Željezničar launches disciplinary proceedings against Enes Alić

Bosnian Premier League side FK Željezničar has opened a disciplinary case against forward Enes Alić. The club says Alić attended a summons and trained until July 15, but then missed the team gathering before a pre‑season camp in Croatia and failed to travel to the camp. Željezničar contacted the player, who replied that he wanted to terminate his contract and leave the club free of charge. On July 18 Alić formally requested contract termination, citing the club’s alleged failure to meet its obligations. The club says it fulfilled all contractual duties on July 20 and demanded Alić report to the Croatian training camp by July 21, a deadline he ignored.

Željezničar sent a final notice on July 30, warning of unilateral contract termination and compensation for damages. Alić appeared for a solitary training session on July 31, training separately and refusing to be photographed. On August 3 he again notified the club of unilateral termination. The club responded with legal evidence that its obligations were met. Alić made 33 appearances for Željezničar last season, scoring two goals and providing four assists. The club described his conduct as a serious disrespect to the club, its supporters and teammates and pledged to protect its interests through the disciplinary process.
