FK Riga draws 0-0 away against Klaksvík KI in Conference League play-off

Latvian football champions FK Riga drew 0-0 in their away match against Faroese side Klaksvík KI during the first leg of the UEFA Conference League qualification play-off.

Despite the scoreless result, FK Riga led in shots on target with a 5-2 advantage, though Klaksvík KI recorded more corner kicks (10 to 5). Defender Raivis Jurkovskis noted that while the team missed opportunities to score, particularly in the second half, the away draw is a positive result. He emphasized the importance of winning the return leg at home to secure a place in the tournament group stage.

The decisive second leg is scheduled to take place next Thursday in Riga at the Skonto Stadium.
