FK Rudar Prijedor to appeal refereeing after loss to Leotar
FK Rudar Prijedor has announced plans to file an official complaint regarding the officiating during their recent match against FK Leotar. The game, which served as a derby for the third round of the Prva liga Republike Srpske, ended in a 0-3 defeat for Rudar Prijedor at the Gradski Stadion in Bileća.
In an official statement, the club described the officiating as a ‘circus’ and a ‘travesty,’ alleging that the head referee, Nemanja Jovičić, and his assistants, Strahinja Trifković and Stefan Vujičić, directly influenced the outcome through biased decision-making. The club noted that the lack of consistent criteria for both teams moved the issue beyond a simple sporting error.
During the match, Rudar Prijedor coach Goran Kecman received a red card in the final minutes of the first half, and assistant Željko Kušmić was also sent off following the conclusion of the game.
