FK Sarajevo signs defender Jovan Ivanišević after activating purchase option

FK Sarajevo exercised a clause in its loan agreement to permanently acquire Canadian‑born defender Jovan Ivanišević from NK Istra 1961. Ivanišević arrived on loan in February, appeared in 12 matches and scored two goals before the club confirmed the transfer.

Former Bosnian footballer Dušan Simić, known as "Duca", reflected on his playing days with Radnički Kragujevac and Sarajevo's Željezničar, recalling his early start at age nine, a stint in Greece, and the competitive environment of Yugoslav football before the country's breakup.
