FLACSO México implements new transparency system for public resources

Dr. Gisela Zaremberg has assumed the role of Director General of FLACSO México for the 2026-2030 period. Upon her appointment, the intergovernmental social sciences organization launched a new Transparency and Accountability System designed to strengthen control over public resources.

The initiative aims to prevent discretionary practices, mitigate risks of opacity, and consolidate institutional management based on ethical responsibility. The system establishes specific rules, procedures, and supervision mechanisms to reduce the concentration of functions and prevent conflicts of interest or the misappropriation of assets. Additionally, the model seeks to improve efficiency in resource management and ensure greater traceability in procurement and contracting processes.
