Flai raises $27M to scale AI automation for car dealerships

Automotive startup Flai has raised $27 million in a Series A funding round led by Base10 Partners. The investment round also included participation from Toyota’s venture arm, Y Combinator, First Round Capital, and automotive groups such as the Friedkin Group and Findlay Automotive.

Flai provides specialized artificial intelligence software designed for car dealership management. The platform automates customer engagement across phone calls, emails, and texts, handling approximately 50,000 appointments per month for both sales and service departments. CEO Ari Polakof noted that the company has seen a 20x increase in revenue as it transitioned from a simple phone solution to a comprehensive AI-powered customer relationship management platform.

The software is designed for deep integration into dealership operations, offering rapid implementation and multilingual support. The company currently works with more than 10 of the top 50 dealer groups in the United States.
