Botafogo remains active despite a FIFA transfer ban, officially targeting Colombian winger Camilo Mena and monitoring Argentine teenager Álvaro Montoro, for whom it seeks €25‑30 million. The club also refuses to sell midfielder Danilo for below its valuation, even as Palmeiras and other sides show interest.
Flamengo is reported to have prepared an offer that could reach R$1.8 million per month and a total €35 million package to acquire Danilo from Botafogo.
Palmeiras recorded a historic seven players selected for the World Cup – Gustavo Gómez, Mauricio, Ramón Sosa, Piquer, Emiliano Martínez, Flaco López and Jhon Arias – and its forward Vitor Roque commands a market value of about €60 million and a R$2 million monthly salary.
