Flamengo faces multiple injury setbacks as key players sidelined

Flamengo coach Leonardo Jardim confirmed that midfielder Nicolás de la Cruz has suffered another physical problem and will miss an indefinite period, saying, "Nico has a problem and I don't know how long he will be out." The club also announced that forward Luiz Araújo suffered a left‑knee injury in a friendly against Olimpia; medical scans showed no need for surgery, though his return date is unknown.

Further updates indicated that defender Léo Ortiz is progressing in physiotherapy after a muscle injury, while midfielder Lucas Paquetá continues rehabilitation from a thigh injury sustained during the World Cup. Midfielder Giorgian de Arrascaeta has resumed training without limitations, and other players such as Gonzalo Plata remain under evaluation. Jardim highlighted the injuries as the team's main concern and noted that the squad is awaiting the addition of new signings during the transfer window.
