Flamengo manages volleyball rivalries, squad changes, and financial risks

Flamengo is facing several sporting and financial developments. In volleyball, Dentil/Praia Clube and Sesc RJ Flamengo are set to face each other in the ‘Jogo das Estrelas’ in Campo Bom, Rio Grande do Sul. This match serves as preparation for the 2026/27 Superliga.

In football, Samuel Lino is expected to return to the squad and potentially fill the playmaker role for the upcoming match against Santos, as Arrascaeta is sidelined following wrist surgery.

Financially, the club is monitoring potential risks regarding its master sponsorship contract with a betting company. A clause could allow for contract revision or termination if external actions impact the betting industry in Brazil. This poses a concern for the club's 2027 budget, particularly regarding a R$ 70 million installment due for the purchase of Lucas Paquetá from West Ham.
