Vasco da Gama seeks striker solution amid attacking struggles

Vasco da Gama is facing a persistent challenge in finding a definitive starting center-forward following the departures of Rayan and Vegetti earlier this year. Despite several signings, no player has established themselves as an absolute reference in the Brasileirão.

Currently, five players are available for the central role. Colidio, a major reinforcement, has been utilized on the left wing, where he has recorded five goal involvements in 11 matches. Other options include Bruno Duarte, who showed early promise with goals and assists but has recently seen a decline in performance, and Brenner, who is working to regain rhythm following an injury.

To address this shortage, Vasco is reportedly in advanced negotiations to secure a pre-contract with Carlos Vinícius from Grêmio for the 2027 season. Club insiders express optimism regarding a deal that would allow the player to join without a transfer fee.
