Flamengo solidifies defense with Vitão starter and adds goalkeeper Pedro Henrique on loan

Coach Leonardo Jardim has made defender Vitão a regular starter for Flamengo, featuring in eight matches and helping the team concede only 0.7 goals per game when he is on the field, a better rate than other centre‑backs. The young centre‑back’s performances have earned him a place in the starting lineup and increased confidence from the coaching staff.

Flamengo also announced the loan signing of 18‑year‑old goalkeeper Pedro Henrique from Novorizontino until the end of 2026, with an option to purchase. The keeper will join the club’s under‑20 squad, adding depth to the goalkeeping department.
