Flaming Festival to debut in Thessaloniki in September 2026

The Flaming Festival, a new three-day event focusing on contemporary dance, music, and collective experiences, will debut in Thessaloniki from September 25 to 27, 2026. The festival is a collaborative effort between the Amalia Theatre and the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki.

The program aims to transform art from a series of isolated events into a shared community experience that unfolds in public spaces and through the movement between venues. The schedule includes four dance performances, a workshop, a communal meal, an open discussion, a concert, and two after-parties.

By bringing together dancers, musicians, choreographers, and various creators, the festival explores how the body and movement can shape collective experiences and strengthen the bonds between art, the community, and the city.
