Flanders Embryo Auction sees record sales in Dublin

The Flanders Embryo Auction held in Dublin has been described as the most successful in its history. Out of 26 embryos presented on August 7, 25 were sold, with the average price rising to nearly €33,000 from the previous year's €30,300.

Irish buyers were highly dominant, securing 20 of the 25 sold embryos. Notable purchases included a sibling to the Nations Cup horse Picobello van ’t Roosakker for €71,000 and an embryo from the Olympic mare Ornellaia for €50,000.

The highest price of €86,000 was paid by an American buyer online for a United Touch S embryo. Additionally, representing Artemis Equestrian Farm, Rodrigo Pessoa acquired two embryos for €80,000 and €46,000, including one from the Grand Prix mare Gancia de Muze.
