Flanders seeks organizers for Brain Injury Cafés

Organizers are calling for the establishment of ‘Hersenletsel-Cafés’ (Brain Injury Cafés) across all Flemish provinces during ‘De week van NAH’ (The Week of Non-Acquired Brain Injury), scheduled for October 12 to 18, 2026.

These cafés serve as accessible venues for individuals with non-acquired brain injuries, their families, and interested parties to exchange experiences and discuss specific aspects of brain injury. To accommodate participants, venues must be wheelchair accessible and avoid loud music or bright lighting. Local organizations are responsible for the practical and financial aspects of the events, while Sig and the Hersenletsel Liga manage promotion. Organizers are seeking expressions of interest by September 5, 2025, including details on themes and speakers.
