Flash floods hit Nepal-Tibet border near Rasuwa district

Devastating flash floods struck the Rasuwa district near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, 2026, causing widespread destruction and fatalities.

A group of 340 pilgrims from 25 different countries, participating in the ‘Kailash with Mohanji 2026 Yatra’, narrowly avoided the disaster. All members of the group reportedly reached home safely despite the proximity to the floods.
