Flatiron Building and Berlin’s Checkpoint Charlie Converted to Luxury Apartments

New York’s iconic Flatiron Building is being transformed from office space into 36 ultra‑luxury condominiums after a seven‑year renovation. Prices start at about $11 million, with a full‑floor, five‑bedroom unit sold for $58.5 million. Amenities include an 18‑metre pool, wellness centre, billiard room and piano lounge, and the project is slated for completion in early 2027.

In Berlin, the historic Friedrichstraße 210 building at Checkpoint Charlie will host 20 serviced apartments across two floors, offering 27 bedrooms for short‑term stays. The 1,430 sqm of office space has been leased to Urban Flats Berlin for a 15‑year term, with an optional five‑year extension, and the apartments are expected to be ready by the second quarter of 2027. Both projects aim to blend historic preservation with high‑end residential use.
