Flatto launches PickFlow Shopify app for smartphone-based barcode picking

Flatto Co., Ltd. has launched PickFlow, a new Shopify application designed to transform smartphones into handheld barcode scanners for order picking and inspection. The app aims to reduce shipping errors for Shopify merchants operating their own warehouses or backyards without the need for expensive dedicated hardware or complex Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

PickFlow allows workers to use the built-in cameras on iPhone or Android devices via a web browser to scan barcodes. The system automatically cross-references scanned items with order details, displaying immediate errors if there is a mismatch in product type or quantity. This functionality is intended to assist even inexperienced staff in maintaining accuracy.

Key features include bulk printing of picking lists and invoices, shelf location management via CSV import, and automatic order tagging upon completion. The service is fully localized in Japanese, providing both management and worker interfaces in the language.
