Brazilian actress Flavia Alessandra and presenter Otaviano Costa used their official social‑media accounts to alert fans that criminals are circulating videos generated with artificial intelligence that depict the couple endorsing products and making false promises. They emphasized that the content is unauthorized, urged followers to verify any advertisement by checking the couple’s verified profiles, and asked them to report and avoid clicking on such fraudulent posts.

The couple noted that similar misuse of images has occurred, citing actress Fernanda Montenegro’s recent complaint about an AI‑generated promotion for a miracle‑cure medication. Their warning comes amid a broader rise in AI‑driven fraud schemes that have already generated millions of dollars in losses in Brazil.
