Flavien Diabakana leads M'Foa-Ndjindji ultra-trail in Congo

The inaugural M’Foa-Ndjindji ultra-trail, a 582-kilometer race spanning from Brazzaville to Pointe-Noire, has completed its fourth stage. Organized by the Lion d’or multi-sports association, the event consists of seven stages held over nine days.

Flavien Diabakana currently leads the general classification. His position is attributed to methodical effort management and consistency rather than pure speed. While Diabakana has maintained his lead through the first four stages, three stages remain before the race concludes at the coast.

The grueling nature of the course has resulted in significant athlete attrition. Of the approximately fifty runners who began the race in Brazzaville on August 23, fewer than fifteen remain in competition following the fourth stage, which covered 105 kilometers between Mindouli and Madingou.
