Flavien Diabakana wins inaugural 582km M'Foa-Ndjindji ultra-trail

The inaugural Ultra-trail M'Foa-Ndjindji, a 582-kilometer running event, has concluded, connecting Brazzaville to Pointe-Noire over eight days. Organized by the Association multi-sports Lion d’or, the race spanned seven stages from August 23 to August 30, 2026.

Flavien Diabakana emerged as the champion of this first edition. Diabakana demonstrated consistent performance throughout the course, winning multiple stages, including the 70-kilometer stretch between Boulankio and Ngatoko, the 60-kilometer segment to Mindouli, and a 104-kilometer stage between Mindouli and Biyoki. He also secured the final 30-kilometer stage from Malélé to Pointe-Noire with a time of 2 hours and 5 minutes.

The competition was highly demanding, starting with approximately 80 runners and leaving only 16 to cross the finish line. Athletes faced significant challenges, including difficult weather conditions such as fog and rain, as well as security concerns along certain sections of National Road No. 1.
