Flavio Bolsonaro faces corruption probe in Brazil

Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, a leading conservative candidate in the upcoming Brazilian presidential election, is facing a corruption and money laundering investigation. The probe, authorized by a Supreme Court judge, focuses on the financing of 'Dark Horse', a film about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro.

Investigators are examining whether funds requested from banker Daniel Vorcaro—who is currently imprisoned for bank fraud—were diverted to finance Eduardo Bolsonaro, another son of the former president. This investigation comes as Flavio Bolsonaro remains in a close race in the polls against the incumbent president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Jair Bolsonaro, who was sentenced to 27 years in prison last year for an attempted coup in 2022, is currently serving his sentence under house arrest for health reasons.
