Flavio Cesaro named director of San Giuseppe Moscati Hospital emergency department, Avellino

Flavio Cesaro, a specialist in internal medicine with extensive experience in emergency care, has been appointed director of the Emergency and Urgent Medicine Unit at the San Giuseppe Moscati Hospital in Avellino. Cesaro previously led the emergency department at the CTO hospital of the Azienda Ospedaliera dei Colli di Napoli and is known for his clinical, scientific and training work.

He took charge as the hospital’s emergency department undergoes a major renovation. The project, now in its final phase, includes a new triage area, an expanded waiting room for families, additional staff spaces and the extension of the “camera calda”. Completion is expected by September, with the department’s usable area almost doubled. Cesaro said he will review existing protocols and seek improvements to ensure faster, higher‑quality care for the community.
