Cincinnati Open: Arthur Fils and Coco Gauff claim major titles

The Cincinnati Open concluded with major victories for Arthur Fils and Coco Gauff. Fils captured his first ATP Masters 1000 title by defeating Frances Tiafoe 6-3, 1-6, 6-0, becoming the first Frenchman to win the event since 2014. In the women's draw, Coco Gauff secured her second Cincinnati title by defeating Jessica Pegula 6-2, 6-4, joining Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka as the only players in the Open era to win the tournament twice.

The tournament also significantly impacted the ATP rankings. Flavio Cobolli reached a career-high of world number 6 following his semifinal run in Cincinnati. Jannik Sinner remains the world number 1 despite withdrawing from the US Open due to a knee injury. Alexander Zverev moved up to second place, overtaking Carlos Alcaraz, who fell to third.
