Fleetwood Mac documentary scheduled for Apple TV+ release

The first fully authorized documentary about the legendary band, titled ‘Fleetwood Mac: The Chain’, is set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 29, 2027. Directed by Frank Marshall, the film will explore the band’s 50-year history, covering their rise to international stardom, musical successes, and the personal struggles that defined their career.

The documentary will feature new interviews with surviving members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks. It will also include archival footage and interviews with the late Christine McVie. The project aims to provide the band’s story in their own words, tracing their journey through tensions, break-ups, and reunions.

The release coincides with the 50th anniversary of the landmark album ‘Rumours’. The band has sold more than 220 million records worldwide throughout their career.
