Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' Album Marks 50th Anniversary with New Illustrated Book

A new coffee‑table volume, "Fleetwood Mac and Rumours: 50 Years," by music journalist Andrea Swensson arrives on October 27. The 176‑page book, part of the Great Albums series, features more than 200 photographs and memorabilia, tracing the band’s evolution from its blues origins through the arrival of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, the emotionally charged recording sessions of 1977, the subsequent world‑tour, and the album’s iconic artwork.

The release coincides with the 50th anniversary of "Rumours," the 1977 record that became Fleetwood Mac’s commercial breakthrough. The album topped the U.S. Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart, sold over 40 million copies worldwide, earned the 1978 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and has been inducted into both the Grammy Hall of Fame and the U.S. National Recording Registry. Its enduring influence is reflected in numerous reissues, critical rankings and continued cultural relevance.
