Fleetwood Town defeats Shrewsbury Town 2-0

Fleetwood Town secured a 2-0 victory against Shrewsbury Town in an EFL League Two match at Highbury Stadium.

Ronan Coughlan opened the scoring shortly before halftime, converting a close-range chance following a header from Rhys Bennett. Aaron Loupalo-Bi secured the win in the 86th minute, scoring his first goal for the club after receiving a pass from Ched Evans.

Shrewsbury Town had opportunities to equalize, including a header from Josh Davison that was saved by goalkeeper Jay Lynch, but Fleetwood's defense maintained a clean sheet to claim all three points.
