Fleher Bridge replacement planning focuses on noise protection

Discussions are underway regarding the planned replacement of the Fleher Bridge between Neuss and Düsseldorf. A primary focus of the planning process is minimizing the impact on local residents during and after the construction phase.

Autobahn GmbH has decided to rebuild the bridge westward and later move it to its original location. To mitigate disturbances, planners are considering noise protection measures such as efficient routing for construction vehicles, preventing uneven surfaces at bridge transitions to reduce noise, and the potential installation of noise barriers.

Construction is currently scheduled to begin no earlier than 2029. Local representatives intend to maintain dialogue with the Fleher Brücke citizens' initiative and submit regular motions to the Uedesheim district committee to ensure long-term quality of life for residents.
