Fletcher Sharpe scores double for Newcastle Knights

Newcastle Knights five-eighth Fletcher Sharpe recorded a personal best season performance, scoring his fourth double of the NRL season during a 36-26 victory against the Gold Coast Titans. Sharpe has now reached 12 tries in the 2026 campaign, surpassing his previous seasonal highs.

During the NRL's annual Indigenous Round, Sharpe wore specially designed Goanna boots. The footwear featured artwork from the Cultural Choice Association's ‘Boots For A Brighter Future’ initiative, inspired by his home in Cessnock and his junior club, the Goannas.
