Flevoland announces new subsidies for home batteries

The province of Flevoland has announced a second round of subsidies for residents wishing to purchase home batteries. Starting October 1, over €400,000 will be made available to support the transition to sustainable energy systems.

The subsidy is open to both homeowners and renters. Under the updated regulations, applicants can receive 25% of the costs (excluding VAT), with a minimum reimbursement of €750 and a maximum of €1,250. To qualify for the minimum threshold, the purchase value of the battery must be at least €3,000.

This round is part of a larger budget of €1,750,000 allocated for 2026 and 2027. The initiative aims to help households better utilize self-generated energy and reduce pressure on the electricity grid.
