Flexera expands AI cost management platform and ecosystem

Flexera is expanding its AI cost management platform to provide greater transparency and control over artificial intelligence expenditures. The company is introducing new features focused on cost controls for AI cloud infrastructure and AI data cloud platforms.

To support workload and data cloud optimization, Flexera is adding solutions for gateways, observability, routing, and economic steering. The company also introduced a new maturity analysis for AI cost management. These updates aim to use autonomous agents to balance cost efficiency with performance, relieving pressure on IT and DevOps teams.

Automation features for Snowflake are expected by the end of 2026, with Databricks support planned for early 2027. These tools complement the existing Token Cost Control solution, which identifies users and AI agents driving costs and assists with internal cost allocation and governance.
