FliConquista 2026 announces dates and theme for literary fair

The fourth edition of the Vitória da Conquista Literary Fair (FliConquista) is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 15, 2026, at the Centro de Cultura Camillo de Jesus Lima in Vitória da Conquista, Brazil.

The theme for the 2026 event is “Trajetórias e narrativas ancestrais na letra e no som” (Ancestral trajectories and narratives in letter and sound). Curated by Ester Figueiredo, the theme aims to explore literature through its connection to oral traditions, memory, music, and other cultural expressions. Figueiredo noted that the theme serves as a bridge between the past and present, seeking to value cultures that have faced erasure due to racism and exclusion by addressing legacy rather than just heritage.

The four-day program will include literary tables, cinema, exhibitions, theater, music, storytelling, performances, saraus, cordel, and book launches. The event is part of the Bahia Literária Program and is supported by the State of Bahia through the Secretariat of Education.
