Flinders Ranges sheep stations heading to auction

The Reynolds family is auctioning the Mannawarra and Upalinna sheep stations on Wednesday, October 14, at the Hawker bowling and golf club. Located on the eastern side of the Flinders Ranges in South Australia, the two stations cover a combined 66,800 hectares (165,066 acres) and have a rated capacity of 10,950 DSE.

The properties are being offered “walk-in, walk-out” including sheep and equipment. Income streams for the stations include sheep, wild goat harvesting, and tourism.

The auction occurs during what agents describe as a “once-in-a-generation” season for outback pastoral properties. Recent significant transactions in the region include the $2.75 million sale of a 22,700ha station near Lyndhurst and businessman Charlie Shahin’s purchase of the Jumbuck Pastoral portfolio, which spans over 1.2 million hectares.
