Flip launches Black Friday sale for refurbished electronics

The refurbished electronics platform Flip has launched its Black Friday campaign, featuring a selection of approximately 30,000 devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches. The sale offers discounts of up to 200 euros, with prices on certain items being up to 40% lower than new models.

Featured products include the iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 5G, all with 256 GB of memory. The initiative comes amid rising costs for electronic components, such as DRAM and NAND flash memory, which have increased the prices of new smartphones.

Market analysis from FDM CCS Insight suggests a shift in consumer behavior. Projections indicate that global sales of new smartphones may decrease by 12% this year, while the market for used smartphones sold through organized channels is expected to grow by 9%.
