Flipkart Minutes expands footprint in India’s quick-commerce market
Flipkart Minutes is rapidly expanding its presence in India’s quick-commerce market, now processing between 1.1 million and 1.2 million daily orders. Since its launch in August 2024, the service has seen significant growth, with monthly customer repeat rates between 65% and 70%.
In terms of infrastructure, Flipkart Minutes has overtaken Swiggy Instamart in the number of dark stores across India’s top 10 cities, reaching 627 stores as of August. The company is aggressively scaling its fulfillment network, adding approximately 100 micro-fulfillment centers per month, with a target of 1,500 locations by the end of 2026. This expansion includes significant growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Despite this rapid scaling, Flipkart remains behind market leaders Blinkit, which processes an estimated 3.4 million to 3.6 million daily orders, and Zepto, which handles approximately 2.4 million to 2.6 million. Swiggy Instamart continues to operate at scale with roughly 1.4 million daily orders and over 1,200 dark stores.
